The xBase 2.0 has an “AUTO” feature that automatically controls the supply current when charging
or discharging accumulators. This prevents overcharging, which can damage batteries. The integrated
voltage regulator for lithium batteries controls the voltage for each individual cell in a battery
pack. This makes having a separate charger for cell voltage control in lithium batteries
(Li-Ion, LiPo and Li-Fe) unnecessary. xBase 2.0 can monitor and control the voltage of each
of the individual lithium battery cells while discharging. As soon as the voltage in any of
the cells exhibits unusual fluctuation the charging process is interrupted and an error message appears.
You can charge lithium batteries for specific uses. FAST charging mode reduces charging time,
STORAGE mode regulates the target voltage of the battery, enabling you to store the battery for
longer periods. Automatic charge interruption works according to the delta peak voltage detection
principle (NiCd and NiMH batteries). You can perform up to five charge/ discharge cycles or
discharge/charge cycles to refresh and balance batteries.
